Our Commitment
LiveGuild is committed to providing a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for all users. We believe in fostering a positive community where streamers, viewers, and creators can connect and thrive together.
We expect all community members to treat each other with respect, kindness, and empathy.
Platform Relationship
LiveGuild is an independent platform operated by NextHook Ltd. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, partnered with, or officially connected to Twitch Interactive. Twitch actions that streamers choose to reward through LiveGuild are manually processed by the streamer and are not performed inside LiveGuild. LiveGuild does not access Twitch user actions beyond OAuth authentication.
Expected Behavior
All LiveGuild users are expected to:
- Be respectful and courteous to others
- Communicate constructively and professionally
- Respect differences in opinions, backgrounds, and experiences
- Give credit where credit is due
- Accept constructive criticism gracefully
- Focus on what's best for the community
- Show empathy towards other community members
- Report violations of this Code of Conduct
Unacceptable Behavior
The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:
Harassment and Abuse
- Harassment, bullying, or intimidation of any kind
- Threats of violence or harm
- Stalking or unwanted attention
- Publishing private information without consent (doxxing)
- Sexual harassment or unwanted sexual attention
Discrimination and Hate
- Discriminatory language or actions based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic
- Hate speech or symbols
- Promoting violence or hatred against groups or individuals
Spam and Manipulation
- Spamming messages, posts, or content
- Self-promotion without community contribution
- Vote manipulation or artificial engagement
- Misleading or deceptive practices
Illegal and Harmful Content
- Illegal activities or content
- Malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Explicit sexual content
- Glorification of violence or self-harm
- Copyright infringement or piracy
Platform Abuse
- Attempting to circumvent security measures
- Creating multiple accounts to evade bans
- Exploiting bugs or vulnerabilities
- Automated abuse or bot activity
Content Guidelines
When posting content on LiveGuild:
- Ensure you have rights to share the content
- Mark sensitive or mature content appropriately
- Provide proper attribution and credit
- Keep content relevant to the community
- Avoid clickbait or misleading titles
- Do not post content that violates our Terms of Service
Streamer and Creator Responsibilities
If you're a streamer or creator on LiveGuild, you have additional responsibilities:
- Upload only content you own or have full rights to distribute
- Moderate your community spaces responsibly
- Deliver digital items or LiveSpace features that you offer voluntarily
- Reward viewers fairly and transparently if using the credit system
- Do not mislead viewers about rewards or credits
- Use the credit system only within your own LiveSpace or store
- Avoid any suggestion that credits have real-world monetary value
Credit System Conduct
If you use the LiveGuild credit system, you agree to the following:
- Credits may only be issued through LiveGuild’s reward modal
- Credits may only be given in response to actions that occur on Twitch, not within LiveGuild
- Credits may not be sold, traded, or exchanged for money or anything of monetary value
- Credits may not be used for gambling, raffles, lotteries, or games of chance
- Credits may only be used in your own LiveSpace/store and only by the viewers who received them
- You may not misrepresent credits as a financial instrument, investment, or cash equivalent
Reporting Violations
If you witness or experience behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it immediately through:
- The in-platform report feature
- Our support channels
- Email to our moderation team
- Use the Legal Contact form for copyright or DMCA-related reports
All reports are reviewed promptly and confidentially. We take all reports seriously and will investigate thoroughly.
Enforcement
Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in:
- Warning: A formal warning for minor first-time violations
- Temporary Suspension: Temporary restriction of account access
- Permanent Ban: Permanent removal from the platform for severe or repeated violations
- Legal Action: In cases involving illegal activity, we may report to law enforcement
The severity and frequency of violations will be considered when determining appropriate action. We reserve the right to remove any content or ban any user at our discretion.
Appeals
If you believe you were unfairly banned or suspended, you may submit an appeal through our support channels. Include:
- Your account information
- Details about the enforcement action
- Explanation of why you believe the action was incorrect
Appeals are reviewed by our moderation team. Decisions are final and we reserve the right to deny appeals.
Updates to This Code
We may update this Code of Conduct to reflect community needs and evolving standards. We will notify users of material changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
